To prepare a puff pastry roll, wash the apples, peel, remove the core, cut into cubes and simmer in butter for 5-7 minutes.

Cooking

So, we start cooking the roll with the filling. We wash the poppy in advance, transfer it to a deep metal bowl, fill it with water, put it on a weak fire and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove from the stove, cover with a lid and leave it to infuse for about 10 more minutes.

After that, we discard the poppy seeds on a sieve, allowing the remaining water to drain. We again shift it into a bowl, cover it with sugar, or pour over with honey. Mix everything thoroughly and pass 2-3 times through a meat grinder. Next, we move on to the formation of puff rolls. We pre-thaw the finished dough, after which we roll it into a thin layer. Boil water in a separate saucepan, pour a little sugar into it and wait for it to dissolve completely. We coat the rolled dough with the prepared syrup and spread the poppy seed filling evenly over the entire surface with a dense layer on top.

We roll everything into a roll and cut into small pieces. Preheat the oven to about 200 degrees. Spray baking tray cold water and put rolls on it. Separate the yolks from the proteins, beat the yolks with a fork and grease each piece. We send the baking sheet to the oven and bake the delicacy for 30 minutes.

Take a sharp knife and cut the roll into pieces, about two centimeters wide.

Lay the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. From above, grease them with the left yolk.

Send to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees. The cooking time depends on the desired goldenness of the baked goods.

Rolls with poppy seed filling are very beautiful, tasty and fragrant. They make a great accompaniment to coffee/tea and other beverages.

Baking is airy and light, but at the same time, very satisfying.
