I propose to cook delicious and satisfying sandwiches with avocado and tomatoes, which are suitable not only for a snack during the day or light breakfast, but also for any holiday table. Avocado has a delicate texture, a subtle creamy taste and an oily texture, thanks to which avocados make a great spread for sandwiches. The main condition is that we definitely use only ripe and soft-to-touch fruit for the preparation of pasta. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to find an avocado of the required maturity on store shelves, then we buy an unripe one and let it lie down at home with room temperature 2-3 days, this is enough for the avocado to ripen and be completely ready to eat. I had a small size, I had enough pasta to make four sandwiches. If you have a large fruit, then it is quite possible to cook from 6 to 8 pieces. I used toast bread with bran, but it can be replaced with any white or gray bread ears.

Ingredients:

  • avocado - 1 piece.
  • lemon juice - 1 tbsp. a spoon.
  • garlic - 2-3 cloves.
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp. a spoon.
  • tomatoes - 1 piece.
  • salt - to taste.
  • ground black pepper - to taste.
  • dried basil - to taste.
  • greens - to taste.

Cooking:

Bread I prefer to toast on a small amount vegetable oil, the bread turns out crispy and the taste, in my opinion, as a result, the sandwiches are more rich and interesting. Fry the bread on one side only. If desired, you can also dry the bread in a dry frying pan or use a toaster.

Wash the tomato and cut into slices.

Let's start making pasta. Ripe and soft avocado wash and cut into two halves.

Remove the skin with a knife and take out the bone.

Cut the avocado into small pieces and put in a deep plate. To prevent the flesh from turning dark, sprinkle the fruit with lemon juice.

Mash the avocado with a fork until pureed. If the fruit is ripe and soft, then this will not be difficult.

Avocado has an almost neutral taste and goes well with spices. Add garlic to taste, salt, ground pepper, dried basil and a spoon olive oil.

Mix everything until smooth. Pasta is ready.

Put the bread with the toasted side up.

Spread with paste, adjust the amount to taste.

As it turned out, being on vacation does not at all cancel periodic approaches to the refrigerator with the eternal question “why would such a snack?”. So, I managed to solve the problem of quick snacks very simply - from time to time I cook avocado paste for sandwiches. She has several variations, which I will discuss at the end of the recipe, but to begin with, I suggest making avocado pasta with egg and mayonnaise.

Avocado Paste for Sandwiches - Recipe

If it is better to take a slightly hard avocado for salads (but not wooden of course), then for sandwich paste, dips, pates and other spreads, overripe fruits are ideal. Those that leave dents when pressed. After you cut such an avocado, the bone falls out of it by itself, and the pulp has a very delicate texture, it is already like a cream. It is worth getting the pulp and pressing down with a spoon, as a homogeneous mass is obtained. It remains to add everything else and avocado pasta for sandwiches will be ready in a matter of minutes.

To prepare avocado pasta with egg and mayonnaise, I needed:

  • Ripe avocados - 2 pcs;
  • boiled eggs - 2 pcs;
  • mayonnaise with spicy taste- 2 tbsp. l;
  • garlic - 3 cloves;
  • salt, freshly ground black pepper - to taste;
  • lime - 1 circle.

Ripe avocados do not need to be peeled - this is a tip in case you are with this useful product not yet well known. I cut ripe fruits in half, take out the stone. Then, with a tablespoon, I pry the pulp along the cut line, cleaning each half. In this photo, I just pressed the avocado a few times with a fork, and you can see that the flesh is already almost uniform. In less than a minute, I mashed the avocado into a pulp. Drizzled with lime juice.

Eggs boiled in advance, cooled. I don’t have a grater, so I chopped the eggs in the same way as an avocado - mashed it with a fork.

Mixed one with the other, added a little mayonnaise. If possible, use mayonnaise for cooking snacks. home cooking the taste will be greatly improved. Salted and peppered. I chopped the garlic cloves very finely with a knife, but it is better to grate it (or push the garlic through a garlic press, mash in a mortar). Avocado paste with garlic and green onion- a healthy and tasty nutritious snack that can be prepared in a few minutes from a minimum number of ingredients.
