So how to bake buns with sugar? To make this cake at home, we need the following ingredients:

  • fat milk - 2.5 cups;
  • large egg - 2 pcs. (one for dough, one for greasing products);
  • high quality margarine (it is better not to use butter, otherwise the dough will turn out sticky) - about 130 g;
  • light fine sugar - 150 g in the dough + 150 g for sprinkling;
  • warm drinking water - 1 glass;
  • table salt - 1 dessert spoon;
  • yeast in granules - 3-4 g;
  • sifted flour - from 500 g (add until the density of the dough);
  • vegetable oil - about ½ cup (for lubricating products).

Sweet dough preparation

Before making buns with sugar from yeast dough, the rich base should be properly kneaded. To do this, we decided to use full-fat milk and warm drinking water. These ingredients are combined in one bowl, and then 2 large spoons of granulated sugar are added and mixed thoroughly.

After dissolving the sweet spice, granulated yeast is poured into the resulting mixture. In this form, the dough base is left in a draft-free place for 8-12 minutes. During this time, the yeast should disperse, forming a foamy cap.

After re-mixing all the components, a chicken egg, the remains of granulated sugar, table salt and high-quality soft margarine are added to them in turn.

Having received a heterogeneous sweet mass, it is gradually introduced wheat flour. Having brought the dough to the consistency of thick porridge, it is laid out on the table. Gradually pouring the sifted flour, knead the base intensively with your hands. Having made a homogeneous mass that does not stick to the hands, it is again laid out in a saucepan, covered with a towel and a lid.

In this form, rich yeast dough for homemade buns is left for 70-90 minutes. Periodically (about every half an hour) it is actively wrinkled by hand. Such actions will contribute to the subsidence of the base and its re-rise.

The process of forming homemade buns

Despite the apparent complexity, yeast buns with sugar are formed quite simply. From lush and soft dough tear off a small piece (about the size of a chicken egg), and then grease it with vegetable oil and roll it into a thin cake with a diameter of no more than 10 cm.

If you want to make big buns, then the base must be divided into three parts and carry out all the same steps.

So, having received a thin cake, its surface is smeared sunflower oil(about 1 small spoon), and then sprinkle with granulated sugar (2-3 small spoons). Next, the product is wrapped in a tight roll and folded in half. Having placed the semi-finished product on a cutting board, it is cut in the middle part, leaving the edges intact.

After the described actions, the buns are laid out on an oiled oven sheet. In the process of this, the incised part of the roll is opened. The distance between all yeast products should not be less than 3 cm. Otherwise, the buns with sugar will stick together, making the pastries not very beautiful.

Before baking semi-finished products in the oven, they are smeared with whipped chicken egg. This will contribute to a more beautiful and appetizing dessert. It should also be noted that before sending the buns to the oven, they should be kept warm for about 20-25 minutes. During this time, they should become as lush as possible.

How to bake?

After keeping the buns warm, they are immediately sent to the oven. At a temperature of 200 degrees, the products are baked for 40-60 minutes (depending on the characteristics of the kitchen device). During this time, sweet pastries should become ruddy, fluffy, soft and very tasty.
