Crab sticks in our time have become a very popular ingredient in the composition of dishes and snacks on our holiday tables. They can be eaten as a separate product, or you can cook some kind of dish; there are plenty of recipes containing them in their composition. I have long wanted to cook festive snack stuffed crab sticks, there is a suitable recipe, today we will do it.

Let's prepare crab sticks stuffed with cottage cheese, I decided to add salmon to the cottage cheese, which is not necessary. You can simply stuff them with salted cottage cheese, with the addition of sour cream and herbs - it will be tasty and economical, the option with salmon, of course, is more expensive. The version of this dish with sour cream seemed to me tender, but a little fresh, you can use mayonnaise instead of sour cream.

As for the choice of chopsticks for snacks, try to take those that contain more surimi - this is the fish mixture used to produce the product. Accordingly, the higher the content of surimi, the better they should be.

Of course, pay attention to how they are made - it should be clear that the sticks are not pressed, but rolled, otherwise, how are we going to stuff them? Many people advise taking the chilled version, but I always take frozen ones and defrost them in boiling water - they unwind perfectly, do not break, and generally become more elastic, easy to process.

In general, I like this holiday appetizer for its speed of preparation, simplicity, low cost of ingredients, attractive festive appearance and, of course, taste. Now I will cook often and try other fillings for stuffing, of which there can be a lot, connect your imagination and cook different options. Let's get started...
