The way out, as always, is the same - cook shawarma yourself at home, fortunately, this does not require any special skills or devices. Products are also all available and moderately priced.

Here, for example, shawarma with minced meat. For her, all you need is just meat or ready-made minced meat, tomatoes, herbs, cheese, pita bread and sauce.

Hard cheese can be of any variety, I like it more salty - I take Dutch. You can take on your own, even with spices like Hunter's. Grate the cheese on a fine or coarse grater. Yes, what is there, you can cut the cheese into strips. Wash the tomato and cut into slices.

To fry minced meat, you will certainly need vegetable oil - then it will be juicier. If you decide to cook minced meat "from scratch" - this is commendable, you will definitely not be disappointed, well, except that it will take a little more time. The recipe uses cutlet pork, twisted into a meat grinder along with a large onion. Then salt is added to the minced meat, black ground pepper and egg. Ready stuffing fry over low heat, stirring with a spatula, for about 25 minutes. If it turned out to be too greasy, transfer it to a napkin - let the excess oil be absorbed.

Lay out a small sheet of pita bread on the table, it can be of any shape. Put the spoon on the edge tomato sauce and smear it, on top - a couple of tablespoons of minced meat.

Put 5-6 slices of tomato on the minced meat.

Sprinkle everything with grated cheese.

Rinse fresh parsley under the tap, then shake off excess water and even pat dry with a towel. Finely chop the greens and sprinkle the filling on top, the amount is arbitrary. Brush lightly with tomato sauce.

We decided to have a shawarma day. In general, cooking at home, and even in 4 hands, is interesting and tasty. The main thing is not to lose a good mood :)

And so, in the store we bought everything necessary ingredients, prepared a workplace and started making shawarmas. We are doing this for the first time, as it turned out, everything comes with experience. There is no need to be afraid, you need to do it and everything will work out, albeit not from the first shawarma :)

Let's do the sauce first. Just sprinkle with mayonnaise, it's too boring. Throw mayonnaise, ketchup, garlic and seasoning into a blender (for your taste, I have 25 mix from Tunisia).


Seconds 20 and the sauce is ready, it is very fragrant, good thin consistency.


Next, prepare the minced meat. We heat the pan, pour vegetable oil, spread the minced meat.


We start frying, add salt and seasoning.


Fry over high heat until fully cooked, evaporate the liquid, turn off the gas.


Now let's prepare the vegetables. We cut the tomatoes, try to throw less liquid into the bowl.


We clean from the insides and cut the bell pepper into small slices.


Cucumbers cut into smaller pieces.


Onion cut into half rings. I have two types - white and red, what was found in the refrigerator. You put it to your taste, or maybe exclude it from the recipe altogether.


I bought a Korean-style carrot in a store, it was delicious, not tough and not very spicy. Just like ordered)


We lay out all the vegetables in separate bowls and place them at a distance accessible to the hands.

We lay lavash. In total, we have 4 sheets of pita bread, as practice has shown, it is not necessary to cut them, they are too thin. In general, next time I will take a different type of pita bread, but now we will get out with what we have. We fold exactly 2 times, it’s better not like in the photo, but along the edge, but then it’s up to you to decide how it will be more convenient to twist.


Now we spread the filling gradually, a little bit of cucumbers ...
A little bit of tomatoes ... (Although, we didn’t put everything “a little bit”, here it’s also up to you).


Add all other vegetables.


Lay out minced meat.


Pour the sauce over the filling and be sure to mix, preferably with your hands.


The hardest part is spinning. The first pita bread came out lumpy, I had to eat it right away, but its divine taste did not allow us to get upset :)


We twist so that nothing falls out and does not tear.


Next, you need to fry the shawarma in a grill pan without oil, but we decided to leave it like that (there are no grill pans yet, but our hulks simply didn’t fit into the usual one). But it didn't spoil the end result.

The shawarma turned out very tasty. juicy stuffing but not liquid. And one serving is half of the shawarma :) We ate a lot, we were satisfied with our product!
