To prepare tasty and healthy oat milk, we need oatmeal (like Hercules) and cold boiled water. As a rule, a ratio of 1:10 is used, that is, for example, 100 grams of flakes need 10 times more water - 1 liter. In addition, you can’t do without a blender (stationary or submersible - it doesn’t matter) and a sieve (or gauze).


So, in a bowl of suitable volume, pour oatmeal. Just don't use instant flakes that don't need to be boiled - they don't have much use anymore due to steaming. As a result, cereals lose almost all vitamins and minerals.


Pour the flakes with cold boiled water, mix and leave at room temperature for 8-12 hours so that the flakes swell. It is best to do this in the evening so that the oat milk is ready in the morning.



If you feel more comfortable grinding the cereal with an immersion blender, use it. I poured the cereal with water into a stationary blender (in which cocktails are made).


It is only necessary to turn everything into an almost homogeneous thick liquid. Flakes in the process of grinding and combining with water will become much lighter - white with a creamy tint.
