Multicooker puff pastry products. Layer pie in a slow cooker. Let's start cooking

Until today, I was sure that a slow cooker and puff pastry were incompatible, but it turns out I was wrong. The miracle pot coped with this product too. Perhaps the baked goods are not as airy and crispy as in the oven, but I really liked them, and in the end I broke all the laws and finished two pieces late in the evening.

Products:

  • 250 grams puff pastry dough
  • 250-300 grams of pitted cherries
  • 3 tbsp. spoons of sugar
  • 4-5 teaspoons starch
  • Powdered sugar

Preparation:

Defrost the dough. Then roll it out thinly.

Squeeze out excess liquid from cherries. I had closed, pitted and sugar-free cherries in their own juice.

Then add sugar and starch to the cherries.

Mix everything well. The filling is ready.

Distribute the cherries along the wide edge of the rolled out dough.

Carefully roll up the roll and pinch the edges so that the filling does not leak out.

Place the roll in the multicooker bowl in the shape of a snail.

Turn on the heat for 10-15 minutes to allow the dough to rise a little. After this, we run the “small quantity” program for 40 minutes. After finishing it, my roll looked like this.

I wasn’t at all impressed by the pallor of the roll, so I carefully turned it over and ran the “small quantity” mode again for 40 minutes.

The cooking process in this technique is not as long as with the conventional cooking method. And you don’t need to make any effort at all. Everything is done very quickly and simply. What device can I use? Yes, almost any where there is a “Baking” program. For example, the Redmond RMC-PM180 model is suitable.

2) Peel the potatoes, then cut them into slices or strips, whichever you prefer. Then place the potatoes on the dough in the slow cooker. Add salt and pepper.

3) Wash and cut the chicken fillet, then place the pieces on the potatoes. Then we also add salt and pepper.

4) Wash the greens, dry them, chop them and add them to our ingredients.

9) Turn the cake over and cook for another 20 minutes on the same program when the time comes to an end.

10) Leave the finished layer cake in the multicooker turned off for 10 minutes, after which you can take it out.

Lately, I have become a big fan of puff pastry. After all, such dough can be bought in almost every store, and baked goods from it always turn out very tasty and interesting in taste.

I cook puff pastries (with jam) when I don’t have time to prepare a dish that takes a long time to cook. They cook very quickly, and they taste crumbly, tasty, aromatic, and very tender. My whole family just loves them. I hope you enjoy it too.

Puff pastries in a slow cooker: recipe

Ingredients:

Puff pastry (yeast-free) – 250 grams

Jam (thick or jam) - to taste

Chicken egg – 1 piece

Sugar - for sprinkling

Cooking method:

1. Take a plate of puff pastry without yeast and defrost it in the microwave. There is no need to defrost the dough too much to prevent the edges from drying out. Then divide the dough into 4 parts. You should end up with 4 even squares.

2. Each square must be thinly rolled into stripes. There is no need to roll out the dough too thin. To do this, the dough needs to be rolled out in one direction only. If your strip is uneven, then the unevenness must be cut off with a knife.

3. Spread jam or jam on one half of the dough. It is better not to use jam that is too liquid. The jam should be thick. If you use liquid jam, your puff pastries will leak a lot.

4. Press the dough on all sides with a fork. And in the middle of the dough you need to make several cuts. There should be about 3-4 of them.

5. Break one chicken egg and beat it with a whisk.

6.Then each puff pastry needs to be greased with an egg, and then sprinkled with sugar. Place the puff pastries in the multicooker and bake them on the “Baking” setting for 50-60 minutes.

Every day I am convinced that almost any dish can be cooked in a slow cooker. Today I wanted to spoil my husband with pizza for lunch. But there was no time or desire to knead the dough. So I prepared an express version of pizza with puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry dough – 1 pack
  • Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp. spoon (35 grams)
  • Tomato paste - 1 tbsp. spoon (35 grams)
  • Boiled sausage – 50 grams
  • Smoked sausage – 50 grams
  • Tomato – 1 piece
  • Cheese – 50 grams

In my opinion, pizza is a universal dish. It can be prepared from any ingredients. The composition may vary depending on your taste preferences, as well as the availability of products in the house.

For example, to reduce calories, you can use sour cream or natural yogurt instead of mayonnaise. It is permissible to add any sausages and boiled meat to the filling. You can mix them or choose one. If you don't like the tomato, you can remove it. And add, for example, fried or pickled mushrooms. The top of the pizza is often decorated with olives.

This is very convenient for practical housewives. After all, pizza can be quickly prepared at any time from available products. The recipe is very easy.

Steps

  1. Take puff pastry dough. One pack weighing 500g is enough for 6 of these mini-pizzas. This dough is sold frozen in any store. It defrosts very quickly - about 20 minutes at room temperature. You can defrost it in the microwave in 1 minute. You won't waste any remaining dough either. You can prepare a lot of simple and tasty dishes from it. For example, bake puff pastries with cheese or mushrooms for the family, or sausages in dough. The dough needs to be rolled out so that it approximately doubles in length and width. Before rolling out, lightly sprinkle the rolling pin and dough with flour. Cut out a circle with a diameter the size of the bowl of your multicooker. I did this using a steaming net. Its diameter is ideal for these purposes. Then grease the bowl with butter and place the dough on the bottom of the multicooker.

In my photos the pizza is not a perfect circle shape. This is due to the fact that it is made from the last piece of dough. And I rolled it out by eye. Despite this, the pizza was eaten with no less appetite.

  2. Now let's prepare the sauce. Mix equal parts of tomato paste and mayonnaise; if desired, you can add unsalted seasonings. There is no need to salt the pizza, because the sausage, cheese and mayonnaise are salty themselves. This is how pink sauce turns out.

  3. The sauce should be evenly distributed over the surface of the dough.
  4. Now let's cut the filling. Sausage and tomatoes into thin slices.
  5. Grind the cheese on a coarse grater.
  6. Now spread the filling evenly. First the sausage, then the tomatoes. And sprinkle everything with cheese.

  7. That's all. Pizza is prepared in no more than 30 minutes using the “Baking” mode. If you are preparing several pizzas, then the second one can be left for 15–20 minutes. Since the multicooker bowl is already warmed up, cooking will be much faster. And here is the result.

Recipe Description

The multicooker puff pastry pie that you see on this page is made from ready-made store-bought yeast puff pastry. If you want to make the dough yourself, I advise you to look at an excellent recipe for puff pastry dough, which was used when baking pumpkin pie. It is also great for a pie with mushrooms and potatoes in a slow cooker.

As for mushrooms, this recipe is a kind of experiment for me. I'm making a pie with shiitake mushrooms - I bought this miracle product of Japanese cuisine for the first time, tempted by its usefulness. Eastern medicine claims that shiitake in Japan and China is used as a medicine for diseases of the lungs, liver, blood, and also to increase vitality. Shiitake lowers cholesterol and treats impotence. They have been used in Japanese and Chinese cuisine for more than 2 thousand years. In general, it is simply impossible not to try this miracle product. It doesn’t matter that he was raised not in Japan, but somewhere nearby. Shiitake is grown in many countries, and more recently in Russia too.

When describing this mushroom, it is advised to use only the caps for food, since its stem is more rigid. But this may be the case with the shiitake's forest cousins, and farmed ones are quite mild, so I use them whole.

In general, layered pie with mushrooms in a slow cooker is a satisfying vegetarian dish that will come in handy if for some reason you do not want to eat meat. However, it is not lean in the full sense of the word, since butter, eggs, and milk are used to prepare the dough. But if you replace these products with water with vegetable oil, and exclude eggs from the recipe, then a layer pie with mushrooms in a slow cooker may well decorate the Lenten menu.

In any case, it is satisfying, prepares quickly and is quite simple. As for the taste, I’m sure everyone will like it, it will fly away in an instant - and they will ask for more!

To make a puff pastry pie you need:

  • Store-bought puff pastry – 2 sheets.
  • Any mushrooms (I used shiitake) – 300 gr.
  • Potatoes – 2 pcs.
  • Hard cheese – 50 gr.
  • Boiled eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Onion – 1 piece.
  • Greens - a large bunch.
  • Vegetable oil for frying.

Cooking step by step:

Peel the potatoes and onions, wash the shiitake, and dry with a napkin.

Cut all vegetables into small cubes. Heat a frying pan with 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and fry the vegetables until tender - first fry the potatoes and onions for 10 minutes, then add the mushrooms, cook until all the moisture has evaporated. Salt the filling, mix, remove from the stove, and leave to cool.

Boil the eggs hard – about 10 minutes. Remove the shell and chop finely.
Grate hard cheese on a coarse grater. Wash the greens, finely chop them with a knife, and then thoroughly mix all the ingredients for the filling: fried vegetables, boiled eggs, hard cheese and a lot of greens. (3 votes, average: 3.3 out of 5)
