These are chicken drumsticks with potatoes in a baking sleeve. Note that you can use other chicken parts. And if you have a whole chicken, then use this recipe.

It’s easy to prepare, relatively quick, and most importantly it turns out very tasty and satisfying. No need to stand at the stove and make sure it doesn't burn. These potatoes can be served on a holiday table or prepared for a family meal.

In general, it is always advisable to use this technique if you want a crispy crust. But there are recipes, for example, potatoes in the sleeve, where it is not at all necessary to do this.
  • Potatoes with chicken in the sleeve can be cooked not only in the oven, but also in a slow cooker. To do this, you need to use a small amount of ingredients so that they fit into the multicooker bowl, but do not fit tightly to the walls. You can place a silicone mat on the bottom. Turn on the “Baking” mode for 40 minutes.
  • To enhance the taste and aroma of the dish, you can use various spices combined with potatoes and chicken. This could be curry, rosemary, a special seasoning for potatoes or chicken dishes.

My favorite “quick dinner” option is chicken legs with potatoes, baked in a sleeve. No other dish produces such delicious potatoes and chicken. There is a minimum of products, it is prepared quickly and effortlessly. Well, a very tasty dish in which all the products are obtained in their own juice. And secondly, there is a minimum of dirty dishes after it, which is also good news.


First of all, we stuff the chicken legs with garlic. To do this, we make small longitudinal cuts in them, where we insert the garlic cloves.

It is clear that the chicken must be processed - clean and without feathers.
Now put the legs in a deep plate and add spices in which they will marinate for a short time.

Add salt, pepper, soy sauce and curry to the legs. Mix everything and set aside while we peel the potatoes and preheat the oven.
Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into small cubes.

Add grated carrots, vegetable oil and salt and pepper to it.
Now we put all our preliminary preparations into a baking sleeve, according to the instructions for its use.

Those. We secure the sleeve on both sides with special clips and leave a little room for the bag to swell (meaning, do not wrap the food tightly) and, just in case, make a couple of punctures on the bag with a fork.

We all put the chicken with the potatoes in the oven in the oven for about 50-60 minutes.

After the specified time has passed, remove the products from the oven and check them for readiness.
They were baked, the question was their color. If you want crispy chicken, you can cut the bag and keep it in the oven for another 15 minutes until the food is covered with an appetizing crust.

In principle, that's all.

As you can see, chicken legs with potatoes baked in a sleeve are prepared very simply, a minimum of dishes are used, which will then have to be washed, and most importantly, all the products are obtained in their own juice. Well, very tasty!

Baked chicken drumsticks are a very beautiful and tasty dish that is not a shame to serve on a holiday table. They go especially well with potatoes and vegetables. Drumsticks are aromatic and fragrant when using suitable spices and seasonings.

I will prepare chicken meat and vegetables for baking in a sleeve separately.
I defrost chicken drumsticks the night before on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. I wash them and dry them.

For the chicken drumsticks, I need ground paprika and turmeric to give them flavor.

I salt the drumsticks and sprinkle with spices.

I rub the spices and salt lightly into the meat and set the drumsticks aside in a dish to marinate for about 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, I peel a large onion and carrot.

I peel the potatoes.

I cut the potatoes into small cubes.

I cut the onion into thin slices.

I put chopped potatoes and onions in a separate dish. I'm sorting out the onion.

I do not cut the carrots into thick circles.

I combine carrots with vegetables and salt to taste.

For vegetables I will need a mixture of peppers and "Seasoning for potato dishes." The seasoning includes marjoram, savory, coriander, and chili.

I add about half a teaspoon of spices to the vegetables.

I also add dried dill to suit my taste. Mix all the vegetables and spices well. The aroma is already very seductive.

I also let the vegetables soak in the spices for about ten minutes.
Meanwhile, I turn on the oven.

Place a baking bag on a baking sheet. I place vegetables in it in a thin layer.

I place chicken drumsticks on top of the vegetables.

I let the air out of the bag as much as possible and tie it tightly. I pierce it in several places so that steam escapes and the bag does not break during baking.
I bake chicken drumsticks and vegetables in the oven at 200 degrees for one hour.
Then I cut the bag and check the drumsticks for doneness with a wooden stick. I pierce the drumstick in the thickest place and if a clear liquid comes out, then the meat is ready. If the liquid is pink, then continue baking until done.

Chicken drumsticks baked with potatoes are an independent dish - meat and side dish in one. I serve it on portioned plates with pickled cucumbers and tomatoes.

Potatoes and chicken have different tastes. The potatoes are aromatic and soft. Chicken drumsticks are beautiful, have an excellent and delicate taste. The whole dish turned out juicy and satisfying.

To prepare chicken legs baked in the oven with potatoes, you will need no more than half an hour to prepare the ingredients.

It is enough to use the following quantity:

  • 4 chicken drumsticks;
  • 1 kg of potatoes;
  • 300 g sour cream;
  • 200 g garlic;
  • pepper mixture;
  • salt.

Wash the drumsticks thoroughly, remove any remaining skin and fluff if necessary. Dry with paper towels. If the shins are large, you can separate the thigh and leg at the joint.

Pass the garlic cloves through a press, mix with pepper and salt. Rub the resulting mixture onto the chicken and leave to marinate for half an hour or an hour.

Meanwhile, prepare the potatoes: rinse off any remaining soil, peel, cut into rings, lightly season and salt and mix by hand.

Prepare the mold by greasing it with oil. Place the potatoes in the first layer, then the legs and thighs.

Cover the pan with a sheet of foil, wrapping it around the edges. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. and bake the dish for 40-45 minutes. Remove the foil and leave for another five minutes until the dish browns slightly.

On a note. The legs with potatoes can be sprinkled with grated cheese and left for 5-7 minutes without foil at the end of cooking, and sprinkled with fresh herbs before serving.

With the addition of mushrooms - step-by-step recipe

You can prepare chicken thighs with mushrooms and potatoes as follows:

  • champignons - 300 gr;
  • onion - 150 gr;
  • potatoes - 1 kg;
  • hips - 500-600 g;
  • salt, pepper, turmeric, basil.
  • a little oil for frying and preparing the pan;
  • Bay leaf.

We prepare the legs in the usual way - wash them, clean them.

We clean and rinse all vegetables, do the same with mushrooms.

Cut the mushrooms into cubes, finely chop the onion. Fry with salt in oil until juice appears, then turn off the heat.

Cut the potatoes into large cubes.

We prepare the mold, lay out the potatoes, onion and mushroom mixture on top, then the legs, rubbed with salt and spices. Place the bay leaf in the middle of the mold. Water everything with the remaining juice from the mushrooms. Bake in the oven for 45 minutes. You can serve with fresh vegetable salads and spicy sauces.

In foil in the oven

A prepared dish in foil is convenient because you can make lunch/dinner in portions. For this method, you need to cut sheets of foil and fold them in two layers, slightly raising the edges so that they can later be wrapped with a “seam” or twisted. Place the potatoes with the stem inside, pour some sauce over them if desired, and bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees. within 40 minutes.

The dish prepared in this way will retain all the juices, the meat will turn out very tender and juicy.

Under a crispy crust

  • 5 chicken drumsticks;
  • 2-3 table. l. mayonnaise;
  • a pair of garlic cloves;
  • salt;
  • ground pepper;
  • paprika, turmeric, curry - 2-3 pinches each.

Prepare the drumsticks and marinate in a mixture of salt and spices for a third of an hour.

Separately squeeze the garlic and mix with mayonnaise. Divide the sauce into two parts. Rub the legs with one part and leave for another half hour.

Wash the potatoes and cut into cubes. Mix with remaining sauce.

Grease the pan with oil, place the potatoes and the legs on top. Cover with foil and bake for a quarter of an hour, then bake without foil for half an hour.

Recipe up your sleeve

Chicken legs with vegetables cooked in a sleeve can be called the most tender and juicy option for preparing this dish. The potato pieces are very soft and melt in your mouth. And chicken meat easily separates from the bone.

To prepare this dish, you can use one of the above food combination options. The cooking process will differ only in that all the ingredients are mixed together in a baking bag. This way, the vegetables will be thoroughly soaked in the chicken juices during the baking process.

Important! After placing the food in the sleeve, when tying the second end of the bag, it is important to blow off all the air - during baking the sleeve will swell greatly, or make holes. For the same reason, it is important to place a baking sheet with a sleeve at a lower level than the middle one, so that the bag full of air does not touch the top of the oven and burst.

Chicken drumsticks with vegetables and potatoes

  • 650 g chicken drumsticks;
  • 1.2 kg of potatoes;
  • 2 large onions;
  • 2 large carrots;
  • 600 g oyster mushrooms;
  • can of preserves corn;
  • ½ tsp. l. sweet paprika and turmeric;
  • 1 teaspoon each l. oregano and basil;
  • salt to taste;
  • couple table l. olive oils

Mix spices and oil in a bowl, add salt.

Wash the drumsticks thoroughly and cut them along the joint. If desired, the skin can be removed. Rub the meat with spicy oil, put it in a bowl and leave to soak a little.

In the meantime, prepare the vegetables: peel and cut the potatoes into medium cubes, and the onions and carrots a little smaller. We rinse the oyster mushrooms and also cut them into cubes.

Place the prepared vegetables and mushrooms in a bowl, mix with spices and a little salt.

It is recommended to bake the dish either in a sleeve or in a mold with a lid. First, put the mushroom-vegetable mixture mixed with corn, and chicken on top. Cover with a lid or tie the other end of the sleeve. Place in a preheated oven for an hour at 170-180 degrees. Once cooking is complete, leave in the oven for another twenty minutes.

On a note. Partially cooking the dish under foil ensures that the food is thoroughly steamed. If you cook without it, it is recommended to pour about ⅔ glass of water, otherwise the potatoes will also turn out dry.

Prepare the drumsticks, peel and cut the potatoes. Peel the garlic cloves and press them with a press, mix with sour cream, salt and spices. We dilute the sauce with water.

Mix potatoes, cut into cubes, and legs with sour cream sauce. Let it soak for a bit - about 20-30 minutes. Then put it in a mold, cover it with foil and bake the dish at 190 degrees. within half an hour. Then remove the foil, cover with cheese and cook for another quarter of an hour - the dish will brown a little and the cheese will melt.

Serve the dish sprinkled with chopped fresh herbs.

In mayonnaise

  • 500 g chicken drumsticks;
  • 1 kg of potatoes;
  • 350 ml mayonnaise;
  • salt pepper;
  • 1 medium onion.

We clean the vegetables. Cut the onion into thin half rings. Wash and clean the shins.

Mix the drumsticks with mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Add onion. Mix everything well and put it in the refrigerator to marinate for half an hour.

We cut the potatoes into slices 5-7 mm thick. Place the first layer in a baking dish and add a little salt. Place marinated drumsticks on top. Bake as in previous recipes - first a little under foil, then without it.
