Currently, dishes with such an ingredient as, a traditional product in the cuisines of the countries of the Far Eastern region, are very popular all over the world.

Let's tell you how to cook beef in soy sauce. All products for preparing Far Eastern dishes in large cities can be bought in Asian markets, in specialized shops or supermarket departments.

A variation on a Korean traditional dish (hwe). We prepare raw beef marinated in honey-soy sauce; this recipe is popular not only in Korea. Use meat you are confident in its quality.

Beef in honey-soy sauce

Ingredients:

  • beef tenderloin (from a young animal, or even better veal) - about 400 g;
  • onions (preferably red) – 1-2 pcs.;
  • garlic – 2-3 cloves;
  • red hot pepper (fresh) – 1 pc.;
  • fresh ginger – 1 tuber;
  • sweet red pepper – 1-2 pcs.
  • lemon – 1 (or 2 limes, or lemon + lime);
  • high-quality soy sauce (the one that costs more, it is better to choose sauce from well-known brands that you trust);
  • sesame oil;
  • natural honey – 1-2 tbsp. spoons;
  • coriander and fennel seeds (ground);
  • sesame seed;
  • various fresh greens (parsley, basil, cilantro).

Preparation

You can keep the meat in the freezer for 40-60 minutes to make cutting easier. Cut the meat across the grain into thin short strips.

Prepare the sauce. Finely chop the garlic and red hot pepper with a knife. Chop the peeled ginger tuber into thin short strips. Mix, based on your taste, soy sauce, honey and lemon and/or lime juice (can be replaced or combined with natural fruit vinegar). Add a little sesame oil and ground spices. Mix all sauce ingredients.

Place the chopped meat in a tight container and pour the sauce over it. Stir and leave for 2-8 hours in a cool place. Stir occasionally. During the marinating process, the meat is fermented and, in some way, changes its structure.

When the meat, in your opinion, has been marinated enough, prepare the rest. Cut the onion into thin rings or half rings and the sweet pepper into strips. Place onions, peppers and meat on a plate, decorate with herbs, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. This dish is well served with rice, fresh pears or plums, tomatoes, rice wine (Mirin or Shaoxing), rice vodka, and fruit wines.

If you are not ready to eat raw beef in soy sauce, you can cook fried beef, pre-marinated in soy sauce.

Fried beef with soy sauce

Ingredients:

  • beef steaks – 3-4 pcs.;
  • garlic – 2-5 pcs.;
  • hot red pepper;
  • ground black pepper;
  • cloves – 3-5 buds;
  • dry Madeira;
  • soy sauce;
  • vegetable oil or lard;
  • green onion;
  • various fresh herbs (parsley, basil, cilantro, rosemary).

Preparation

Prepare the sauce. Finely chop the garlic and red hot pepper. Mix Madeira with soy sauce. We break the clove buds or grind them with a hand mill. Mix it all and pour the marinade over the steaks. Marinate for at least 2 hours. Dry the meat with a napkin and fry in a frying pan over high heat. The degree of roasting is low or medium.

Serve with green onions and Madeira. You don't have to fry steaks, but... wrap in foil and bake. To brown, unwrap the foil halfway through. Baking time - at least 40 minutes at a temperature of about 200 degrees C.

We prepare beef stewed in soy sauce using the same ingredients for the sauce as in the previous recipe (see above), only instead of steaks we use meat for goulash or azu. First, marinate the meat in the sauce, and then simmer with onions in a cauldron or frying pan, adding water if necessary. If you cut the meat into strips (as in the first recipe, see above), the meat will cook faster. Of course, veal will cook even faster.

So, let's begin. We will need boneless beef, soy sauce, garlic, red hot pepper, red bell pepper and a little vegetable oil.

Step 1: Marinating the meat.
Wash the beef, remove unnecessary films, cut into portions and immediately place in a container where we will marinate the beef.


For the marinade we need soy sauce (for 500 grams of meat - 100 grams of soy sauce),


pour it over the chopped beef,


you want the meat to sink a little in it.


Close the container with a lid and put it in the refrigerator for several hours, the marinating time depends on the size of the beef cut, at least 3 hours. I make this preparation in the morning so that I can quickly prepare dinner in the evening.)


Step 2: Preparing and cutting vegetables.
Wash the onions, peel and cut into thin half rings.


Wash the garlic, peel the cloves


and cut into thin slices.


Wash the red bell pepper, remove the stem along with the seeds.

Wash the red hot pepper and remove the stem


and cut as desired, I leave some of the seeds.


Step 3: Braising.
We take the beef out of the refrigerator, this is what it looks like for me after a few hours


and place in a colander to drain excess liquid.


Place a frying pan or saucepan on the stove, pour a little vegetable oil


and lay out our marinated meat, preferably in one layer.


I don’t add water to beef; it already gives a lot of liquid when cooking,


but if you need gravy, add half a glass of water).
When the meat is slightly fried, start adding vegetables.

chopped red hot pepper.


Mix everything, let the ingredients become friends and simmer for 5 minutes.


Next, chopped red bell pepper, you can do without it, but it gives color to the dish and a sweetness).


And onions.


We mix everything well


close the lid and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the meat is cooked.

All! Beef in soy sauce is ready! 30 minutes and dinner is ready!


I do not add salt and pepper, if necessary, then at will.


For a side dish, you can prepare whatever you like best, for example, rice with spinach or vegetable salad.

This recipe will become a real lifesaver for you, as it has become for me. Beef in soy sauce is cooked for a maximum of 30 minutes, and not 1-2 hours as usual, and it turns out quite soft, not tough. Thanks to this recipe, after a hard day at work you will not only be able to prepare a delicious dinner, but will also have time to do your own thing.

There is no need to salt the beef, as the soy sauce already contains enough salt. And in the finished dish you can hardly feel the soy sauce. It is best to marinate the meat in the sauce overnight, leaving it in the refrigerator, or at least for 3 hours.

Ingredients

  • Beef - 500 gr.
  • Soy sauce - 70-100 ml
  • Onion - 1 pc.

Instructions

  1. Cut the beef into long thin pieces, like beef stroganoff. The thinner the pieces of meat, the softer and faster it will cook.

  2. Pour soy sauce over the beef until the sauce covers the meat. It took me about 90 ml. If you find the soy sauce too salty, you can dilute it a little with water, but I didn’t dilute it with anything, it turned out very tasty.

    Let the meat marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours, preferably overnight.

  3. Chop the onion and garlic.

  4. Fry the onion and garlic in vegetable oil until transparent. Fry over high heat, stirring constantly.

  5. Add our marinated beef along with soy sauce to the onion and mix. Fry over high heat for 15-20 minutes, during which time the meat should release its juices.

  6. Cover the meat with a lid and simmer for another 10 minutes over low heat. If necessary, you can add a little water if you want the meat to have gravy.

  7. You can optionally add 2 more tablespoons of sour cream, but it is not necessary.

  8. Cooked beef in soy sauce can be served with anything: mashed potatoes, pasta, noodles, rice, buckwheat, etc. Please note that if you cook with old beef, it will still not cook for more than 30 minutes, otherwise it will simply fall apart . You can cook pork in the same way.

If you want to cook soft and tasty beef with gravy, pay attention to this recipe! This dish has become one of our favorite meat dishes! It's easy and simple to prepare.

1. Wash the beef tenderloin well:
Remove the film and trim off the fat and cartilaginous remains. These trimmings can be left for borscht or soup if trimmed with a small amount of meat.

2. Cut the meat into thin long strips along the grain:

4. Carefully place the meat and sauce in a frying pan and turn on the heat to maximum:


Stirring occasionally, fry the meat for 10-15 minutes. It should release juice:


Afterwards, reduce the heat to low and cover the meat with a lid. Let it simmer for 30 minutes.

5. If you need to get a lot of gravy, you need to add a little water during the cooking process. Pepper the already semi-finished meat:


Let's taste it. If necessary, add salt. I almost never add salt to such meat, since salt perfectly replaces soy sauce.

6. We taste the meat and check its readiness. If it is soft, turn off the heat. Can be served:


This meat goes well with almost any side dish. I like it best with mashed potatoes!
