Children who already have a history of similar illnesses due to other foods are not recommended to give strawberries before 2 years of age.

The berries must be fresh, not imported. Imported products are often exposed to chemicals and, despite their attractive appearance, can cause harm.

To preserve strawberries for a longer period, they are frozen. Jellies, compotes, puddings and jelly are made from frozen and fresh berries. Each of these dishes has an original taste, and when preparing them, most of the healthy components that children need are preserved.

  • beat the yolks of four eggs with sugar;
  • add corn flakes (0.5 cup) and lemon juice (30 ml) to the resulting mass;
  • mix everything thoroughly;
  • take out a baking tray and place chopped strawberries on its bottom;
  • A mixture of corn flakes, lemon juice and eggs is poured over the bottom layer.

A healthy dessert with a diuretic effect for babies will be ready after 20 minutes (at a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius).

To prepare jelly you will need:

  • 300 g berries (frozen).
  • 2 tbsp. l. starch.
  • 1 liter of water.
  • ½ cup sugar.

First, puree the strawberries using a blender. Water is poured into it and sugar is added. After 2-3 minutes they boil. The next step is to dissolve the starch. This will require a separate cup. At the last stage, starch is poured into the boiling strawberry mass, wait until it boils again, and turn off the gas. Strawberry jelly is served cooled.

Methods of use as a diuretic

The diuretic properties of strawberries are best manifested after consuming infusions and decoctions. It is also recommended to consume fresh strawberries, juice and fruit drink. The main thing is to do this regularly and in accordance with the recommendations of your doctor.

  • Tea made from dry leaves. To prepare it, you will need crushed parts of the plant in the proportion of 2 large leaves per 1 glass of boiling water. The main component is placed in a porcelain teapot and poured with boiling water. The mixture is left alone for 5-10 minutes. Drink tea from strawberry leaves three times a day. Sugar or honey is added to taste.

This composition has a diuretic and pathogenic effect. It also helps lower blood pressure.

  • Infusion based on strawberry leaves. 5-6 teaspoons of the dry mixture are placed in a thermos and poured with two glasses of boiling water. Leave for 2-3 hours. Drink ½ glass 3-4 times a day for a week. Effective for diarrhea and infectious pathologies of the urinary system.
  • Eating fresh berries. This method helps to get rid of problems with the kidneys, cardiovascular system and insomnia.
  • Strawberry juice. It has a pronounced diuretic effect. Take 50 ml of liquid daily, consisting of water and juice (in equal proportions) with the addition of sugar and citric acid.
  • Fresh strawberry infusion. 5 berries are poured with boiling water in an amount of 200 ml. The container is closed and placed in a warm place for 30 minutes. Drink 70 ml before each meal.

Instead of fresh products, frozen ones are often used. The freezing process is quite simple: the berries are washed, dried and placed in an even layer on a tray. It is placed in the freezer. Afterwards, the strawberries are collected in a bag or plastic container. Frozen berries can be stored for 6 months, while retaining all their beneficial properties. Leaves for drying are collected in August or September. The crushed mixture is placed in glass jars or canvas bags.

Contraindications

Eating strawberries is strictly prohibited if:

  • gastrointestinal pathologies;
  • the presence of large stones in the gall bladder or kidneys;
  • allergies;
  • renal failure.

Strawberries should not be given to children under 1 year of age.
