Idea: The restaurant's menu is built on classic Italian dishes with minimal author's interpretations. Here they serve vitello tonnato (590 rubles), caprese - with a choice of mozzarella from cow's milk (590 rubles) or buffalo milk (840 rubles), nine types of pasta (420–690 rubles), three types of risotto (510–620 rubles), and also meat and fish dishes. The bar menu features a selection of approximately 20 varieties of wine. The cost of a glass starts from 250 rubles.
Chef: The cuisine of Azzurro Café is led by Italian chef Massimiliano Berno ("Fish in the Country").
Interior: The design of the institution was carried out by designer Denis Dmitriev. The cafe is divided into two zones: the main hall in the basement of the building and a terrace in the park across the road. The latter consists of an open area and tents, the walls of which are closed in windy and rainy weather. According to the organizers, at the moment it is the largest terrace on Petrogradsky Island.
Today Vladimir Spirin and Tatyana Yuryeva invite to Azzurro. A new Italian cafe has opened on the site of an old (12-year-old) Italian restaurant "Cook"- on Bolshoi Prospekt P.S., 38/40. The Azzurro design project was developed by Andrey Dmitriev - the one who played with the backstage theme in Behind the Scenes, worked on the interiors Volga-Volga , "Restaurant" , Bellini. The restaurant has a terrace-tent, protected from the bad weather of St. Petersburg, elegantly decorated and accommodating up to 100 guests.
The Azzurro menu included all Italian bestsellers: caprese, carpaccio, vitello tonnato, minestrone, tiramisu, 10 types of pasta. In the restaurant's kitchen, only wholemeal pasta is used, striving for the perfect al dente, preparing sauces on their own and rubbing parmesan into a plate - everything is as it should be. But no, no, yes, and they will offer to add cream to Carbonara, and for an additional 100 rubles. Assorted meat and cheese plates can be assembled to your taste, the choice is worthy: Parma ham, bresaola, salami, mortadella on the one hand, parmesan, mozzarella, gorgonzola and cachotta on the other. There is no alcohol license in Azzurro yet, so lambrusco and barolo are postponed until better times.

The levels here have their own specific color. Each of them has a restaurant with a specific name. The main feature of Azzurro, decorated in light blue tones, is the absence of daylight. Huge stained-glass windows offer a view only of the exhibition hall. The territory of Azzurro is divided into three zones. In two of them, the height of the ceilings reaches seven meters, and in the third, the main one, a little more than three and a half meters.
The name "azzurro" itself comes from the Italian adjective "blue" and is associated with the Mediterranean. In such a restaurant, you just want to relax between presentations and exhibitions. Interestingly, the lack of lighting is not felt at all. I would like to stay longer in this cool and cozy place, from which the fresh sea breeze blows.
The interior uses materials typical of Italian and Greek culture. Designers tried to convey the atmosphere of a seaside resort. For example, ropes on the ceiling give the room the shape of a modern gazebo. Everywhere are wooden shelves filled with household items. All this resembles an old market. The photographs are framed in white, which contrasts with the blue walls and creates a sense of space extending beyond the horizon.
