Darsonvalization is a therapeutic physiotherapeutic method consisting in the use of high-frequency alternating current (up to 400 kHz) of small magnitude (0.015-0.2 A) and high voltage (up to 20 kV). This current is generated in the form of a pulsed damped charge in a special apparatus for local darsonvalization.

This method was first proposed by the French scientist J.A. d "Arsonval back in 1892, who noticed a certain physiotherapeutic effect of a small alternating current on body tissues, capillaries and blood circulation. Later, the method was named after its developer, refined and introduced into medicine as much as possible: in modern medicine, darsonvalization is the most famous technique, which is used in cosmetology, dermatology, dentistry, gynecology, proctology, neurology, otolaryngology, etc.

The effect of darsonvalization is to stimulate blood flow, metabolism, reduce pain, combat itching, accelerate wound healing, stimulate tissue repair, regeneration, and reduce muscle tension.

Indications

As a result of many years of clinical research and based on the practical experience of the world's leading clinics, the following indications for darsonvalization have been established:

  • Raynaud's syndrome in the early stages (stages 1 and 2).
  • Loss of hair, eyelashes.
  • Acne.
  • Eczema.
  • Flabbiness of the skin.
  • Varicose veins of the legs.
  • Hemorrhoids, anal fissures.
  • Frostbite of the skin.
  • Wounds that do not heal for a long time.
  • Vasomotor rhinitis.
  • Periodontal disease, gingivitis.
  • Acoustic neuritis, neuralgia, climacteric neurosis.
  • The initial stages of hypertension, coronary heart disease.
  • Improving the general condition of the skin, increasing its firmness and elasticity.

Local treatment with darsonvalization is carried out using special vacuum electrodes, while the patient is in a sitting or lying position. The electrode is showered with talc or powder and in a circular motion, as if “massaging” the required area of the skin with it. For the treatment of anal fissures or hemorrhoids, the electrode is lubricated with petroleum jelly. Be sure to remember that the current is turned on only after the electrode is in the correct position on the body. When the procedure is completed, the electrode is washed in soapy water and wiped with an alcohol wipe, do not boil.

General darsonvalization (inductotherapy) consists in placing the patient in a special large apparatus (solenoid). This technique is used to treat common diseases - nervous system, cardiovascular system, etc.

The darsonvalization procedure is prescribed exclusively by a doctor; carrying out such a procedure on your own without consulting a specialist can be very dangerous! In medical clinics and beauty parlors, this medical procedure can be performed by nurses, i.e. not necessarily a personal doctor.

Contraindications

There are a number of factors that are contraindications for this procedure:

  • Serious cardiovascular diseases (after a heart attack, with high blood pressure, etc.).
  • Installed pacemaker.
  • Blood clotting disorders.
  • Benign and malignant tumors.
  • Nervous breakdown, hysteria.
  • Pulmonary tuberculosis.
  • Pregnancy, lactation period.
  • The procedure is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age.
  • Individual intolerance to the effects of electric current on the body.

Methodology

The procedure requires an apparatus for local darsonvalization (Iskra-1, Darsonval Corona, Darsonval Spark, etc.). The device is equipped with a number of glass-coated electrodes: ear, rectal, vaginal, mushroom, gingival and some others.

The patient sits on a chair or lies on a bed. Before the procedure, the electrodes are disinfected with alcohol, and the body area is sprinkled with talcum powder for better electrode movement. Set the voltage value and begin the procedure. During the procedure, the voltage can be changed by tearing the electrode away from the body or by reducing the area of the electrode.

The patient during the darsonvalization procedure experiences a slight tingling, burning, warmth. The duration of 1 session is from 3 to 15 minutes, the general course of treatment is 10-20 sessions.

Darsonvalization of the face

Before starting darsonvalization, the skin of the face must be thoroughly cleaned of dust, remove fat, for this you need to wash with soap and wipe with a cleansing lotion. Next, the skin is covered with talc.

The methodology depends on the goal. If the task is to “refresh” the face, increase firmness and elasticity of the skin, then choose the “quiet” mode, which activates the metabolism in tissues and accelerates cell renewal. If it is necessary to fight acne, dermatitis or scars, then a spark charge mode is used, in which ozone and nitrogen oxides are released, which help to dry the wound and localize ulcers. After the end of the procedure, a moisturizer is applied to the skin, designed to "calm" the skin where it has become too dry.

The duration of 1 session of darsonvalization of the face is 10-15 minutes. The course of treatment is individual, but, as a rule, is 10-15 sessions. Usually sessions are carried out every other day.

Darsonvalization of hair

It is used for hair loss, seborrhea, excessively oily scalp, allows you to strengthen the hair, stimulate its growth. For the procedure, a comb-shaped nozzle is selected. Circular or translational movements of the electrode from the back of the head to the forehead and back stimulate the hair follicles and strengthen them. The procedure lasts about 10 minutes, usually 15-20 sessions are needed, which can be done at least every day.

Application in dentistry

It is used for inflammatory diseases of the gums. A gingival electrode is selected from the nozzles, brought at a distance of 2-3 cm from the inflamed gum area and the procedure begins. The duration of 1 session is determined by the attending physician, usually 5-7 sessions are performed.

Darsonvalization of the vagina

A vaginal electrode is installed, which is inserted into the vagina every day for 8-10 minutes. The duration of treatment is determined by the gynecologist individually in each case, but usually 12-15 sessions are performed.

Darsonvalization in cosmetology

The main goal is the fight against cellulite, mainly in the early stages. Darsonvalization helps prevent blood stasis, reduce skin swelling, and slow down the formation of a crust on the skin. In the later stages, such procedures have a more modest effect and can only be used as an addition to the main treatment.

The procedure is carried out in just a few minutes, the leg is “massaged” with an electrode not only on the hips, but also down to the very heel. After processing the right leg, a break of five minutes is required, then they take the left leg (or vice versa). The patient may feel burning, tingling, tingling.

Stimulation for varicose veins

A mushroom-shaped electrode is installed, the leg is treated along the veins of the left leg for 8-10 minutes per session. The course of treatment is 12-15 sessions, which are performed every other day.

Darsonvalization for hemorrhoids

A rectal electrode is installed, the anus is lubricated with petroleum jelly, the electrode is inserted into the anus by 3-5 cm. It is not necessary to move the electrode, the power is set until a slight heat is felt. One session usually lasts about 10 minutes, between sessions there is a pause of 1 day, and the entire course of treatment is 12-15 procedures.

In all areas of application, local darsonvalization usually has a positive effect after 3-4 sessions: the pain is relieved, the skin is dried, blood circulation improves. The procedure, when performed by specialists in the clinic, is completely safe and practically painless (slight burning and tingling should not scare you). The cost of the procedure in clinics and beauty parlors is relatively low compared to the final effect that the procedure gives. A wide range of applications of darsonvalization in various fields of medical science make it one of the most common methods in modern medicine.

The physiotherapeutic effect on the body with the help of a pulsed high-frequency current of low strength is called darsonvalization.

As a result, blood circulation and tissue oxygen supply improves, metabolic processes are activated.

Using the method normalizes vascular tone, leads to the disappearance of headaches and increased immunity.

All contraindications known to the darsonval procedure will be discussed below.

Apparatus Darsonval: principle of operation and application in cosmetology

The method is named after the French physiologist Jacques Arsene D "Arsonval. He for a long time studied the effects of weak alternating current on humans.

In 1891, he became interested in the ability of high-frequency current, when penetrating the body, not to cause destruction of its tissues and to have a therapeutic effect.

The scientist determined the optimal parameters under which the darsonvalization procedure is most effective and invented the device, named after him. The device for darsonvalization generates a pulsed current of high frequency (110 kHz) and voltage (20 kV), but of low power (0.02 mA).

Darsonvalization happens:

  1. General. The procedure is carried out in a metal circuit - the "D'Arsonval coil". Eddy currents are induced in the patient's tissues in accordance with the law of electromagnetic induction. As a result, the arterial pressure improves metabolism, calms the nervous system. General darsonvalization or inductotherapy is used in the treatment of hypertension of the first and second degree, neurasthenic conditions, sleep and metabolic disorders;
  2. Local. The technique is based on the passage of current with specified parameters through the patient's skin and a glass electrode, from which the air is evacuated. The small capacitance of the glass wall of the electrode does not allow the resulting electrical discharge to reach the degree of intensity at which it can cause pain. It is used for the successful treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, blood vessels, joints, ENT organs.

The most widely used local technique. When it is carried out, the electrode moves over the surface of the treated area of the body. A discharge occurs in the air layer between the electrode and the skin:

  • Quiet: The vacuum electrode is pressed against the skin. Does not cause obvious sensations;
  • spark: The electrode is located at a distance of one to two centimeters above the surface of the body. The current, passing through the vacuum and the glass wall of the electrode, enters the air gap. A spark is produced, which becomes more intense as the size of the air gap increases. It has an irritating effect, causes tingling and redness of the skin. Regular use is accompanied by a slight lifting effect.

Local darsonvalization improves metabolism, enhances blood circulation, lymph flow and tissue oxygenation, stabilizes the activity of the nervous system, increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes, reduces venous congestion, and has antimicrobial and bactericidal effects.

The use of darsonvalization in cosmetology helps to reduce the manifestations of age-related changes in the skin. The depth of wrinkles decreases, the complexion noticeably improves, enlarged pores narrow.

Darsonvalization: main indications and contraindications

The main indications for the procedure are:

  • excessive oiliness of the skin;
  • furunculosis;
  • skin aging: loss of tone, formation of wrinkles;
  • keloid scars, stretch marks, papillomas;
  • hair loss.

The use of darsonvalization is contraindicated in:

  • intolerance to electric current;
  • the presence of a pacemaker;
  • malignant neoplasms;
  • acute infectious diseases;
  • pregnancy, starting from the second trimester;
  • active form of tuberculosis;
  • cardiac arrhythmias;

Facial skin cleansing and rejuvenation with Darsonval currents

Darsonvalization of facial skin is successfully used for facial massage to eliminate wrinkles, improve skin tone, treat acne and rashes. When applying cosmetic masks, the use of high-frequency current facilitates the penetration of therapeutic components deep into the skin and enhances their effectiveness.

In the quiet discharge mode, the device improves skin firmness and elasticity, removes mimic wrinkles, normalizes the secretory function of the sebaceous glands, and eliminates itching.

With the spark method, ozone is released. Thanks to its bactericidal properties, pustular rashes are dried, wounds heal, and the protective properties of the skin are restored.

During the procedure, the patient experiences a pleasant tingling and inhales the smell of ozone.

A course of 15 procedures is recommended. A noticeable result appears after about 5-6 sessions. At this stage, interrupting treatment is not recommended. A stable positive effect is formed by the 10th procedure. The processes in the body are activated, but several final procedures are required to consolidate them.

To maintain the achieved result, two courses per year are required. The duration of one session is on average from five to twenty minutes.

Estimated cost

The price of darsonvalization depends on the size of the treated area and the time required for the procedure.

A physiotherapy apparatus for darsonvalization can be purchased for daily home use. It is recommended to consult a doctor before using this medical device. Do not apply alcohol-based lotions, they can ignite from a spark discharge.

The specialized device Darsonval helps to improve the structural condition of the skin, tighten the oval of the face, and reduce the number of wrinkles. The device is recognized by official medicine, therefore it is used in dermatology, refers to physiotherapy equipment.

What is darsonvalization?

With the help of the Darsonval device, a procedure called darsonvalization is carried out. The device contains a transformer and a generator, glass electrode nozzles with compressed air inside.

Procedure methods:

  • The general technique is used in medicine. For this, the patient is completely placed in the chamber, after which the current begins to act on the body. Purpose: neurasthenia, insomnia, metabolic disorders, hypertension.
  • The local technique is used in cosmetology and medicine. In this case, the effect of the current is directed to certain parts of the body, and not to the entire body. Joints and tendons, ligaments and muscles, oral cavity and circulatory system are treated. Darsonvalization is also used for respiratory and neurological diseases. For cosmetic purposes, the procedure is prescribed for dermatological problems, wrinkles, skin aging.

Classification of local darsonvalization:

  • The contact type of procedure involves contact between the skin and the nozzle of the device. The selected nozzle is continuously moving over the area of the body. At the same time, a quiet discharge of current is applied, the impulses of which penetrate into the layers of the epidermis, starting the process of regeneration of damaged cells and tissues. This makes it possible to restore the skin. This technique is considered to be gentle.
  • With a remote procedure, a stronger current discharge is used, but the nozzles are not placed on the skin, but at a distance of at least 5 mm, maximum 2 cm from the skin. At the same time, the strength of the discharge depends on the distance - the smaller the layer of air, the weaker the discharge is delivered. When compressed air comes into contact with oxygen, ozone and nitric oxide are formed, which leads to the destruction of pathogens. This technique is aimed at the treatment of boils, purulent acne. This is an aggressive effect on the skin, so during the procedure a person feels a tingling sensation.

In some cases, in the presence of a number of skin problems, specialists combine both methods in one procedure. With contact darsonvalization, the therapeutic effect occurs in the upper layers of the skin, and with remote - additionally in the deep ones.

Advantages and disadvantages of the procedure

Advantages of darsonvalization:

  • even with local exposure, the state of internal systems improves;
  • for a complete recovery, it is enough to carry out several procedures;
  • can be used for hair, as there is a special nozzle;
  • general well-being improves;
  • rejuvenates the whole body.

Flaws:

  • there are a number of contraindications;
  • high cost of procedures in the salon and a device for home use.

Indications for the use of Darsonval for the face

Indications for darsonvalization of the face:

  • boils and abscesses;
  • blackheads and acne;
  • infectious pathologies of the skin;
  • skin laxity and wrinkles;
  • increased fat content and the presence of large pores;
  • reduced turgor and tone;
  • lymphostasis and other congestion;
  • dermatitis, lichen, eczema, uneven complexion;
  • puffiness.

Darsonvalization is recommended instead of the chemical and acid type of skin cleansing, since it does not have such side effects as dryness and irritation of the skin. The procedure allows not only to get rid of skin problems, but also to prevent their development.

Expected effect

The effectiveness of the procedure is evaluated only after completing the whole course. There is a need for further support of the results obtained. Darsonval is used for any type of facial skin, but for overly sensitive skin, you will have to consult a beautician.

During the procedure, local blood circulation is accelerated, trophic and regenerative processes are normalized, and the functionality of the sebaceous glands is stimulated. The work of the sweat glands is restored, oxygenation in the tissues occurs, metabolism improves.

Thanks to the therapeutic effect of Darsonval, the following results can be achieved:

  • firmness and elasticity of the skin;
  • improved complexion;
  • soft smoothing of wrinkles and scars;
  • narrowing of pores;
  • drying and healing of wounds;
  • neutralization of any skin rashes;
  • increase in tone and elimination of flabbiness of the skin;
  • reduction of sweat and fat;
  • tightening the oval of the face.

Darsonvalization can enhance the effect of any agent used, as the permeability of the epidermis increases. Therefore, between procedures, you can use therapeutic agents for the face.

How is the procedure carried out in the salon?

In the salon, you will be guaranteed professional darsonvalization, but only if it has a good reputation and highly qualified specialists work in it.

How is the procedure carried out:

  • the patient is seated in a comfortable chair or laid on a couch, while the head should be in a horizontal position;
  • the skin is cleansed with antiseptic agents (lotion, tonic), impurities, fat residues are removed;
  • with oily skin type, the treated areas are sprinkled with talcum powder;
  • contact, remote or combined exposure is carried out by the Darsonval apparatus;
  • the face is moistened with a special cream or ointment.

How to use Darsonval for the face at home?

If you do not want to spend money on salon procedures, buy yourself a Darsonval device. But keep in mind that darsonvalization may not suit you, so first visit the salon and do a few trial procedures.

Choice of Darsonval for home use

There are many devices, but the following models are considered the best:

  • "Gezatone Family Doctor" also has high quality and good power. There is an additional function in the form of infrared heating.
  • "Ultratech CD-99" has 5 nozzles.
  • "Crown" has the lowest cost, but the same power. The device is not suitable for professional activities, it is intended for home use only.
  • "Karat DE-212" is a sales leader, has a professional level and sufficient power. Can be used at home.

Attachments for the device

Standard set of facial nozzles and their purpose:

  • Nozzle in the form of a petal - cavity. A distinctive feature is a slightly pointed tip of a rounded configuration. Thanks to this, it is possible to carry out a point effect so that healthy tissues of the skin of the face are not affected.
  • Mushroom nozzle: flat round tip. It is used to narrow pores, eliminate wrinkles, dark circles under the eyes. The nozzle is able to cover areas of the face alternately.
  • Nozzle in the form of a drop neutralizes acne. It is convenient because you can act on hard-to-reach areas: for example, inside the auricle, behind the ear, in the sinuses. The action resembles a point procedure.

There is also a nozzle in the form of a comb, which is used for the head. The rest of the nozzles are used not only for the face, but also for the body, they have a massage and lifting effect.

General rules for the procedure at home

Features of darsonvalization at home:

  • The duration of one procedure should not exceed 15 minutes. You should start with 5 minutes, gradually increasing the time in the absence of adverse reactions.
  • The maximum course of treatment is 20 procedures.
  • Before the procedure, be sure to cleanse the skin of the face with an alcohol tonic. If you decide to wash thoroughly, then wait half an hour after that. That is how much time is needed for the full absorption of moisture into the deep layers of the epidermis.
  • Treat the nozzle with medical alcohol.
  • The face must be completely dry.
  • Study the massage lines in advance, because the device must move strictly along them.
  • Do not apply to the skin directly around the eyes.
  • It is strictly forbidden to carry out darsonvalization along with taking antibiotics.
  • Do not use electrical appliances in the bathroom.
  • Procedures can be carried out daily or with a long break. It depends on the existing problem and its severity.
  • At the end of the procedure, apply a moisturizer.
  • Be sure to follow the instructions.

To exclude the formation of additional electrical discharges, do not touch metal objects during the procedure. No one should touch you either.

Darsonval from wrinkles on the face

To restore turgor and skin elasticity, a contact method of exposure is used. You should take a nozzle in the form of a mushroom. Move strictly along the massage lines.

You do not need to press the device, it should slide easily over the surface of the face. All movements must be circular.

The maximum course is 15-20 procedures. It is recommended to take it three times a year.

Darsonval for lifting effect

For the lifting effect, a remote method of exposure is used, the nozzle is mushroom-shaped. The air gap should be minimal. It is necessary to place the nozzle above the surface of the skin at a distance of 5 mm, you should move along the massage lines.

Procedures are carried out in one day. There should be a maximum of 15. It is permissible to repeat the course of sessions after 30-60 days. During the procedure, tingling may be felt, and after the session, slight redness.

Darsonval for acne on the face

To get rid of skin rashes, you should:

  • In the presence of large inflammatory foci at the initial stages of treatment, remote exposure is used. The air layer is minimal (5 mm). Over each boil, pimple or inflamed area, hold the tip for about 20 seconds. This will create a spark discharge, which will neutralize the inflammatory process and destroy bacteria. When the pimples are slightly dry, contact darsonvalization is carried out using a mushroom nozzle, which in turn will prevent the formation of scars.
  • If there are few rashes, contact darsonvalization is applied first, and then spot. Procedures are carried out for a month every other day.
  • To reduce oily skin, which is often the cause of acne and enlarged pores, a mushroom nozzle is used. You need to move from the central part of the forehead and nose in the direction of the temples and ears. The tip must be set at an angle: one edge of the tip should be adjacent to the skin surface of the face, and the other should be at a distance of 5 mm from the skin.

Contraindications, possible side effects

It is forbidden to do darsonvalization in such cases:

  • period of pregnancy;
  • epilepsy and tuberculosis;
  • arrhythmia, tachycardia, bradycardia;
  • severe heart failure;
  • the presence of an implant (pacemaker, etc.);
  • hypertension;
  • some blood pathologies;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • bleeding;
  • oncological neoplasms;
  • high body temperature;
  • intolerance to electrical discharge;
  • mental disorders;
  • hirsutism;
  • hypertrichosis.

What kind adverse reactions may occur:

  • Slight tingling, which disappears after the procedure, and slight temporary redness of the skin. This is a normal reaction to an electrical discharge.
  • Feeling weak, tired and headache. If this happens only once, then there is nothing to worry about. But in cases of persistent such reactions, it is necessary to stop darsonvalization completely.
  • Skin burns are possible if the instructions are not followed.
  • Enhanced vellus hair growth. This reaction is the least common. But if this happens, then do not act on the skin in the area where there are many hairs. At the end of the course of procedures, facial hair growth stops.

It may also happen that health problems arise: a tachycardia attack suddenly occurs or internal bleeding opens. This happens only if a person does the procedure in the presence of diseases from the list of contraindications. It is precisely because of the aggravation of existing diseases that it is recommended to undergo a complete examination of the body in advance.

Price

The cost of one session of darsonvalization in the salon will cost at least 200 rubles, a maximum of 500. To solve one problem, it is necessary to do from 10 to 20 procedures.

The price of the Darsonval device varies depending on the model. The cheapest device can be purchased for one and a half thousand rubles. Other models reach a price of up to 5000 rubles.

The use of electrotherapy in medicine for the treatment and prevention of various diseases has existed for more than a decade. Many of these methods have taken their place and are effectively used in cosmetology. One of them is darsonvalization of the face. It is used as an independent preventive and therapeutic technique, as well as in combination with other cosmetic hardware and injection anti-aging procedures. Often it is used in order to prepare for procedures to eliminate skin defects, for plastic surgery on the face and during the rehabilitation period after them.

Darsonvalization of the face - what is it

The method, type of currents and devices are named after the French physiologist. More than 100 years ago, d'Arsonval studied and recommended for use in medical practice the effect on the human body of pulsed alternating currents of low strength, high frequency and voltage. Local effects on tissues are carried out using modern devices that generate Darsonval currents, using sealed glass electrodes with rarefied air or filled with an inert gas (argon). The electrodes have a different shape and are designed for different parts of the body.

Depending on the magnitude of the voltage, the skin can be affected by “silent” discharges, which almost do not cause any subjective sensations, or “corona” (spark) discharges that occur at a higher voltage and the presence of an air gap between the skin surface and the electrode. The latter cause a sound effect (crackling).

Thus, local darsonvalization in cosmetology is based on two methods:

  • contact - the electrode is smoothly moved directly over the surface of the skin in the direction of the massage lines; during the procedure, air, cell cytoplasm and intercellular structures are ionized; You may feel a slight warmth. The contact method is used for mature and lost skin elasticity.
  • remote - the electrode is located at a distance of 2 mm to 1.5 cm; at the same time there is a pleasant sensation of tingling; in the zone of influence of the "corona" discharge, there is a low intensity ultraviolet glow, the formation of ozone molecules and nitrogen oxides, weakly expressed vibrations of tissue structures. "Spark discharge" is effective in eliminating fine wrinkles, acne.

Body reaction

In response to the impact of Darsonval currents, local and segmental changes occur. They are expressed in the direct cauterizing effect of the spark discharge and the anti-inflammatory effect due to the suppression of the development of microorganisms using ionization and weak ultraviolet radiation. This avoids chemical damage to the skin that occurs when using antiseptic solutions and emulsions.

But the main influence is carried out by irritation of nerve receptors, as a result of which:

  • precapillaries and capillaries expand, blood supply normalizes;
  • microcirculation of blood and lymph is activated, stagnation in tissues decreases, complexion improves;
  • metabolic processes and the protective function of the skin are increased;
  • cell renewal processes are accelerated, the skin surface becomes more even and “clean”;
  • the function of sweat, sebaceous glands is normalized, itching is reduced;
  • synthesis is stimulated, and elastin, due to which skin tone increases, the oval of the face becomes clearer.

Indications and contraindications

Facial procedures are mainly performed using a mushroom electrode. For the treatment of small wounds, pustules, acne with inflammation, a cavity electrode is used, which has an elongated shape, which prevents the possibility of transferring pathogenic pathogens to healthy areas.

  1. For the treatment of acne, acne, inflammation, dermatitis.
  2. For resorption of infiltrates, smoothing small scars formed after acne.
  3. For oily or excessively dry skin.
  4. With pale skin and reduced nutrition.
  5. To eliminate spider veins and reduce porosity.
  6. After a deep cleansing of the face.
  7. To improve the tone of the skin, reduce puffiness and "bags" under the eyes.
  8. In order to reduce the severity of fine wrinkles, age-related pigmentation.

Darsonvalization procedures are carried out on a cleansed, dry face. The electrode is driven in a circular motion along the massage lines for 5-20 minutes daily or every other day. During this time, 3-4 zones can be treated. It is advisable to spend 10-15 sessions. In order to obtain a lasting effect, it is necessary to conduct 2-3 courses of treatment with an interval of 1 month.

The use of darsonvalization is contraindicated in:

  1. Severe cardiovascular or respiratory failure.
  2. In the presence of malignant or benign tumors, as it is possible to accelerate their growth.
  3. Tuberculosis of the lungs or other organs: darsonvalization can lead to activation of the process.
  4. Pregnancy and excess facial hair growth.
  5. Violation of blood clotting or the presence of autoimmune systemic diseases.
  6. Pronounced forms of rosacea, acute purulent processes (furuncle, abscess) on the face.
  7. The presence of an artificial pacemaker.
  8. Psycho-emotional imbalance and elevated body temperature.

Modern devices for individual use, produced by manufacturers of cosmetology equipment, are quite simple and easy to use. Due to this, darsonvalization of the face at home can be carried out independently with no less effect than when visiting physiotherapy rooms or "beauty salons".

The cosmetic and therapeutic effects of exposure to Darsonval currents in many diseases prompted the Ministry of Health to recommend the darsonvalization apparatus as a home physiotherapy device. It has a wide range of applications and is quite affordable. One of these home appliances is the Gezanne device in modification and

Update: October 2018

Darsonvalization refers to physiotherapeutic methods of therapeutic effects on the body. In fact, treatment with Darsonval is electrotherapy with alternating pulsed current.

The founder of darsonvalization is the French physiologist D'Arsonval. Almost all of my professional activity he devoted to the study of the effects of alternating currents on the human body.

In 1891, it was first proposed to use high-frequency currents for therapeutic purposes. In the future, the D'Arsonval technique was improved and received its current name in honor of its discoverer.

Before using any physiotherapy treatment, you should consult your doctor. It is recommended to everyone who plans to buy such a device for home use or visit salon procedures with Darsonval, to carefully weigh the pros and cons of the technique and be sure to consult a doctor, preferably a physiotherapist, exactly how much you need these procedures and what risk they carry. Our article is about the benefits and harms of Darsonval, indications and contraindications, instructions for using this device.

How effective is darsonvalization?

The effectiveness of darsonvalization can only be assessed after completing a full course of procedures, intermediate results, both positive and negative, are not informative.

The reaction of each organism to Darsonval is individual, and the existing situation may be aggravated - each person must understand this, and in beauty salons, workers must warn about a possible negative reaction to a physiotherapy.

The effectiveness of Darsonval is confirmed by its constant use, i.e. one course in a lifetime will definitely not return youth and health, and will not sanitize chronic foci of infection.

How safe is the use of Darsonval - a possible harm to health?

Darsonval is a directed effect on the human body by several physical factors at the same time, which are aggressive in nature and significantly affect the physicochemical reactions of the body. And "harmless" currents and radiation do not exist in principle, all this is unnatural for the body and is stressful.

Darsonval poses the greatest danger in terms of a factor that provokes either the degeneration of benign tumors into malignant ones. Often a person does not even suspect that he has a similar pathology, which then suddenly appears without any precursors. Before deciding on such treatment, you need to be examined by doctors as much as possible (see).

Improper handling of the device easily leads to burns, discoloration of the skin and aggravation of existing problems.

The list of contraindications given below according to the instructions for use of Darsonval is by no means conditional. This means that exposure can significantly aggravate and exacerbate the course of existing pathologies. But the beneficial effect of the procedures is not obvious, since not everyone is observed or is short-lived.

The use of Darsonval is contraindicated in the following diseases and conditions

What is the Darsonval apparatus?

The modern Darsonval device, which has a lot of variations on the market for similar products, is a compact physiotherapeutic and cosmetic device for darsonvalization. The attached instructions for Darsonval clearly and in detail explain how to properly use this device at home.

Darsonval devices include: a generator, a transformer and electrodes. Electrodes, otherwise called Darsonval nozzles, can be of different shapes depending on the purpose - mushroom-shaped, comb, elongated, t-shaped.

How to use home Darsonval?

The device involves both contact and non-contact effects on a specific part of the body. Both therapeutic areas are characterized by a pronounced bactericidal effect. To obtain the desired effect, it is necessary to carry out about 10-12 procedures.

With contact action, the Darsonval electrode moves directly over the skin, a so-called "silent discharge" is formed. Contact local darsonvalization is indicated for correcting the problems of aging skin, fighting cellulite, improving hair growth, treating varicose veins, etc.

With non-contact exposure, the electrode moves above the skin at a distance of 1-10 mm, a “spark discharge” is formed, which is felt in the form of a slight tingling. The technique is justified in the treatment of neuralgia, pain syndrome, hematomas, wounds, etc. You should not use the device for serious diseases without first evaluating the benefits and harms of Darsonval in each case.

Preparation for the procedure

  • Immediately before the procedure, an appropriate electrode is installed, pre-treated with alcohol and dried, after which the device itself can be put into working condition.
  • Skin and hair must be clean and dry.
  • Alcohol- and acid-containing cosmetics should not be applied to the affected area, as this can lead to burns.
  • Do not use formulations that are not compatible with UV radiation.
  • Any jewelry containing metal should be removed from the body.
  • During the procedure, it is necessary to limit oneself from contact with other people in order to exclude electric shock.

Darsonval for hair

Before darsonvalization of the scalp, the hair must be freed from all metal objects and combed.

Hair treatment with darsonval is carried out with a special nozzle in the form of a comb, which is used for slow movements, starting from the forehead and ending with the back of the head. In this case, the hair is combed back. The power of exposure gradually increases until a slight tingling sensation appears. One procedure takes about 10 minutes, the course of treatment is 20-25 sessions with a daily repetition.

The darsonval apparatus for hair growth is justified with regular, course use with repetition of procedures 3-4 times a year. The effect is very good, the hair grows noticeably faster. It is good to rub various masks and serums into the hair roots after the procedure to stimulate their growth.

Darsonval for the face from wrinkles and acne

wrinkles

Before the procedure, the skin of the face is cleaned of cosmetics and dirt and dried; special talcum powder can be used to glide or cream to enhance the effect. With the help of a mushroom nozzle, light, without pressure, circular movements are carried out over the skin - from the nose to the ears, from the forehead up to the hairline, from the eyes to the temples, from the top of the face to the chin, from the collarbones up the neck to the chin. It is impossible to influence the thin skin of the eyelids. The intensity of the current gradually increases until a feeling of warmth. The duration of exposure is from 5 to 20 minutes, daily or every other day, the course is about 20 procedures. Darsonval for the face against wrinkles is recommended to be used constantly, 3-4 courses during the calendar year.

Lifting

The skin is prepared in the same way, but the electrode is passed over the skin, maintaining a distance of 5 mm. After several procedures, the opposite effect is possible - the skin condition may worsen. However, this should not be feared, since the skin's reserve capabilities for regeneration are activated, and after 5-7 procedures, the skin of the face will please with a fresh and toned look.

Pimples and blackheads

Treatment of acne and acne with Darsonval, especially multiple ones, is recommended only within the walls of beauty parlors or medical institutions. The procedure requires precise movements, which is difficult to do on your own face.

The face is cleansed of dirt and cosmetics and dried. Initially, inflammatory elements are cauterized with a sharp nozzle in a strong current supply mode in a non-contact way. Then, using a flat nozzle, the entire face is processed in a contact way, avoiding severely inflamed and festering elements. The procedures are carried out daily or with a one-day interval, for 2-10 minutes, the course of treatment is 10-15 sessions.

In the presence of a large number of inflamed elements of significant size, only point remote darsonvalization is used without treating the entire skin, and it is short, up to 10-15 seconds for each element at high voltage. After the inflammation begins to dry out and resolve, contact treatment with a mushroom head can be used to prevent scarring and acne recurrence.

Salons often use various medicinal formulations(serums, lotions, etc.), which are applied to the skin before the procedure and allowed to absorb and dry. It should be remembered that these liquids must not contain acids, alcohol and substances incompatible with UV radiation.

Darsonval for acne is also used to degrease the skin. The mushroom-shaped electrode is moved along the massage lines of the face (from the chin, nose and center of the forehead to the ears) so that one edge of the electrode touches the skin, and the other is raised by 3-5 mm. At the same time, a slight tingling sensation is felt. Such treatment must be carried out every other day for 7-10 minutes per procedure. The course is 10-15 sessions, and after a two-week break, skin treatment begins directly from acne.

Treatment of the skin from propion-bacteria that provoke acne is shown: treatment of the affected skin with a mushroom nozzle at a distance of 3-5 mm. In this case, ozone is formed, which creates an unfavorable environment for the life of bacteria.
