Packets of corn sticks grab our kids' attention just as they did when we were kids. And even now, many of us are not averse to crunching a mountain of these incredibly mouth-watering sweets with pleasure. But satiety soon sets in, and it happens that another half-pack of corn sticks is thrown onto a shelf in the kitchen, where they humbly wait in the wings to be eaten. However, you can make an unusual dessert from them, and today you will learn how to do it.
Chocolate chak-chak with toffees
Ingredients:
- A package of corn sticks - 200-300 gr.
- Iris of medium hardness - 400 gr. ("Kis-Kis" or analogues).
- Black chocolate - 80-100g. (1 tile).
- Butter - 100 gr. (from 72.5%, natural).
Recipe:
- Place the diced butter, toffee and chopped chocolate into a heavy bottomed saucepan. If you don’t have a thick-bottomed pan at hand, then in this case it is better to make a water bath.
- We put the pan on a small fire or in a water bath. Constantly stirring, we wait until the butter and chocolate melt, and the toffee dissolves.
- As soon as the mixture has become homogeneous, turn off the heat and stir for another couple of minutes to cool the mixture a little.
- We take the sticks out of the package and put them in a large bowl.
- Pour the resulting mixture over the sticks and mix quickly and thoroughly so that the mixture is distributed over all the sticks.
- Immediately put the sticks on a dish in the form of a slide or form several spherical cakes from them.
- Put the resulting dessert in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
This dessert is actually incredibly easy to make. But this is not the only recipe using this crunchy treat. Another cooking option is also simple, but the resulting dessert will taste and look completely different from the sweets of the previous recipe.
Crispy sweet balls
Ingredients
- Corn sticks - 150 gr.
- Butter - 100 gr.
- Condensed milk - 1 can.
- Honey (liquid) - half a table. spoons.
- Coconut flakes or biscuits for sprinkling.
- Grind the sticks into medium-sized crumbs.
- Add condensed milk and honey and stir.
- The next step is to add soft butter and mix the mass until smooth.
- From the resulting mass we roll up balls the size of a walnut, after which we roll each one in crushed cookies or in coconut flakes.
- We spread the resulting sweets on a dish and put them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to solidify.
A simple and delicious dessert is ready! If desired, condensed milk can be replaced with boiled condensed milk, and butter can be replaced with coconut cream mixed with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!

I don’t know who came up with this wonderful toy, but the idea is really amazing. Play corn, as you might think, is indeed made from corn starch, but the composition is already more reliable and dense than ordinary corn sticks, and therefore it does not crumble like that. The corn constructor is colored with natural food coloring, so you can literally eat it! True, it is not at all sweet, but children often cannot resist and try it by mouth :)
Description of the corn constructor
Play corn looks like ordinary corn sticks, which we are accustomed to since childhood. Despite the fact that these corns are voluminous, they are still soft, which is why they are very pliable, and with pressure they can be turned into anything.
As a rule, a cornmaker set includes plastic knives, a sponge for water, as well as molds with which you can give a different look to the details.
I ordered this box over the Internet from a Korean store, and it is apparently designed for a group of children, because. not only was the box of corn itself huge, but there were also several sets of tools in it. Also, in the appendage, we got various instruction books about what can be assembled from the corncob.
How to play corn constructor
It's very easy to create with play corn! The bottom line is that wet corn stick together. It is necessary to slightly wet the corn stick on the desired side, and it will easily stick to the other. In such a simple way, you can "glue" a huge toy.
Corn can be crushed, turning into bricks or even into cakes, from which then cut out anything.
And you can even draw with it, because when soaked, the corn “melts” and the dye leaves a trace. I will talk about all the options on how you can use the corn designer later.
What can be made from play corn
You can create from kukuruktor everything that your imagination is enough for! And I'm not making it up at all. With the help of the handy tools included in the set, play corn can be crushed in every possible way and turned into a variety of shapes. You can cut it with knives and make new shapes out of it.

Drawing with play corn
As I mentioned above, you can draw with these colored corns. Our kit even included a special tool like a thimble. You insert a corn stick into it, wet it a little and drive it over a sheet of paper. He draws very well, the colors are saturated, although such a “rod” ends very quickly :)
You can draw a picture with an ordinary pencil, but now paint it in different colors of corn. This option is probably even more correct, because. It is very easy to paint with cornflowers and they give a watercolor effect due to water.
Applications from the corn constructor
Another option for using play corn is to make applications. Wet details of the designer are easily molded to paper. Just use thick sheets, cardboard is better.
You can first draw the contours for the child, or give some ready-made coloring, asking him to stick this picture. Interestingly, the applications are voluminous. Made characters seem to come out of the pictures. I think it's incredibly cool!
Travel play corn
Since I write about traveling with children, I always remember to think about what toys to take with me. So that they are both developing, and lungs, and the child is really carried away. So, the corn constructor is just perfect for the road. Of course, you don’t need to bring a lot with you, it’s enough to put a small bag so that the child has enough time, say, on an airplane or airport.
Firstly, play corn is very light, literally weightless. Secondly, it can be used in such a huge number of variations that such a game certainly will not immediately bore a child. Thirdly, all buildings, if desired, can be easily dismantled, but the details remain, i.e. from a limited number of corn, you can collect crafts several times. Of course, they are not eternal, but enough for a trip.
So this corn game is perfect for a child's travel activities!
As you understand, our opinion with Mishutka is that the corn constructor is simply beautiful! Not only is it very unusual (and I wildly adore everything non-standard), but also its potential is simply huge! And most importantly, the cooker is suitable for ages from 1.5 years to 15! True true!! It will be very interesting for kids to glue, because it is very easy to do it. And older children will find it exciting to just follow the flight of fancy and create something. This is truly a toy for all ages.
The only negative is that if you don’t keep track, you will then scoop out this corn from all the cracks)) These are children, therefore it is quite expected :) Mishkus just drags himself to burrow into the whole box, the corn is very soft and airy, pleasant to the touch . If the box had not been small for me, then, probably, I would not have resisted to plunge into it once)))
This kit will replace your modeling and appliqué material. I bought it specifically for a child's birthday. After a long time thinking about what to do with the kids at the holiday, I opted for this, once again amazingly versatile product.
What attracted me in particular:
- an environmentally friendly product with food coloring (even if a child puts it in his mouth, there should be nothing wrong with the kind of poisoning)
- does not get dirty (unlike plasticine, glue, paints and even felt-tip pens)
- there are no limits to fantasy in use, you can sculpt figures, you can glue them on paper. Our kids did this and that.
And now from a practical point of view...
- a plastic knife is good, it is not so dangerous for children, but I advise you to use scissors. I felt more comfortable.
- using a sponge, it should be slightly damp, otherwise the corn will melt quickly.
There are a LOT of corn in this set. Enough for a long, long time. We have already stuck enough and now we decided to use this constructor when learning the alphabet. Let's learn the letter and glue its outline.

A very good idea, a 5-year-old child coped with modeling easily, only cutting corn caused difficulties. You can sculpt sculptures and make paintings, there are a lot of details, it took quite a bit for one lesson. The dye on corn stains hands a lot, but it is easily washed off, it did not cause allergies.
We really liked the set.
bought in a children's store. thing is great. good quality. all individual parts can be unstuck from each other and build / create again. just a flight of fancy. it is better to buy large boxes at once. it will be cheaper. and the child will only be happy.
